What we collect

EMBC collects information in two ways: (i) directly from you and (ii) automatically as a result of your use of the Site, in accordance with the sections below. The information EMBC collects, either from you or automatically, will be collectively referred to as “Collected Information” throughout this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect Automatically   

EMBC may also collect information regarding how you interact with the Site, which may include pages you view, selections you make on the Site, features you use, preferences you set, your web browser type and version, the operating system type and version of the device you are using to access the Site, the Internet protocol (IP) address of the device you are using to access the Site (or any portion thereof), physical location, and Internet service provider.   

EMBC collects cookies on our website to capture information about page visits. A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any Linked Sites. It is your responsibility to review the Linked Sites for policies and practices of concern to you. Furthermore, any information, communications, or material of any type or nature that you submit to any of our pages contained on a social media platform or website by email, posting, messaging, uploading, downloading, or otherwise is done at your own risk and without any expectation of privacy. EMBC is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on sites outside of the EMBC website. 

How We Use and Share the Information We Collect 

EMBC collects and uses your personal information to operate the Site and deliver the services you have requested. EMBC shares information with its service providers or agents who provide services to EMBC or on our behalf, including without limitation, for the development, hosting and maintenance of the Site. 

EMBC may use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from EMBC and its affiliates. EMBC may contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

  • request that we do not list your information in our membership directory; and/or

California and Delaware “Do Not Track” Disclosures 

California and Delaware law require EMBC to indicate whether it honors “Do Not Track” settings in your browser concerning targeted advertising. SLA adheres to the standards set out in this Privacy Policy and does not monitor or follow any Do Not Track browser requests. 

Using the Site from outside the United States 

If you are visiting the Site, or any part thereof, from outside of the United States of America, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored or processed in the United States, where our servers are located and our central database is operated. By using any portion of the Site, you understand and consent to the transfer of your information to our facilities in the United States and those third parties with whom we share it as described in this Privacy Policy.
